Troubled giants Real Madrid travel to the Mestalla looking to repeat the mid-week result against Valencia and get back on track in the league before the gap between them and 2nd becomes too large.
Real Madrid are struggling at late with rumours speculating the special one José Mourinho is bound for a return to Chelsea, While Ronaldo has pledged his near future to Madrid insuring he is to see his contract out at Madrid.
On the field Madrid have been poor lately, most recently drawing out a 0-0 with bottom club Osasuna in a uninspiring game where they lacked any imagination or goal threat at all. With Valencia in mind I am sure Madrid will take a bit of confidence in the mid week result which saw Madrid come out 2-0 winners in the Copa Del Rey first leg. The La Liga title is out of site for Madrid now and they desperately need to improve to close the gap between them and city rivals Athletico Madrid.
Valencia will come into this tie with confidence despite the midweek loss. They are currently on a 3 game win streak in the league and will be looking to take advantage of the troubles at Madrid. They are 19/5 (Stan James) to snatch the victory which is a great price for the condition Madrid find themselves in. If Valencia are to have any chance they will need Roberto Soldado to perform and take his chances, with that said the service has to be there.
I understand Madrid are under pressure to get a result here. But I have little confidence in Madrid at the moment with their poor defensive displays of late and can see this been close game, with my money on the draw.
