The 8pm Sunday kick-off sees 4th place Malaga welcome unbeaten league toppers Barcelona to La Rosaleda in this La Liga clash.
Malaga will be looking to keep pressure on a stumbling Real Madrid in the race for 3rd place with a positive result against Barcelona on Sunday night. Malaga have been in decent form at home winning 6 out of 9 with a recent win over Real Madrid, seeing Santa Cruz coming off the bench and netting a brace in the 3-2 win. Although they couldn’t follow this win by slipping up to 19th place Deportivo losing 1-0. Despite this Malaga boast the best defensive record in the league, letting in only 13 goals in 18 games, unlucky for them they are facing a free scoring Barcelona who top the goal scoring charts with 61 goals.
Barcelona are priced at 2/5 (PP) which is nothing unusual for this great Barcelona team who look unstoppable at the moment, winning 17 out of 18 (9/9 away wins). It’s hard to avoid Messi, we expect goals from him every time he plays and is 2/1 (PP) to open the scoring on Sunday. Personally I would look elsewhere, and maybe no further than David Villa at 5/1 (PP). He started Barcelona’s second leg against Cordoba and looked impressive with 2 neat finishes. Barcelona have lead at half time 15 times going on to win 14 of them and drawing one. HT/FT 11/10 (Bet365)
I simply can’t look beyond a Barcelona win, they are in unbelievable form and Messi is showing no signs of letting up on the goal scoring any time soon.
