Zenit to beat Anderlecht 8/15

The Russian champion should have too much for Anderlecht in this 5pm kick off. They were very unlucky to be beat at home by Milan in the group stages a couple of weeks ago and have lost only 1 of their last 9 home Champions League games. They boosted their already strong squad with the marquee signings of Witsel and Hulk in late August and know this is a must win game in the group.
 
Arsenal to beat Schalke EVS

This should be an absolute belter at the Emirates stadium. Two bright, inventive, attacking teams should produce an open game but home advantage is huge in European competitons. Arsenal have a simply phenomenal record at home in the Champions League, winning 14 of their last 16 and only suffering one defeat in their last 44 home games in the competition. For that reason, evens is a very backable price for the Gunners.
 
Man City to beat Ajax 3/4

City will be hugely boosted by their impressive victory with 10 men against a tough West Brom team on Saturday. They were minutes away from winning in Madrid just a couple of weeks ago so will fancy their chances in Amsterdam, who themselves were thrashed 4-1 by Real on their home ground. They currently sit 4th in the Eredivisie and will struggle to contain the likes of Tevez and Aguero on Wednesday night.
 
Blackburn to beat Sheff Wed 4/5

Neither side are in great form at the moment, but Sheffield's dip is particularly alarming, winless in their last 9 games, losing 7 of them. Blackburn were scoring goals for fun under manager Steve Kean, but seem to have adopted a more caution approach under caretaker manager, Eric Black. That said they still possess serious firepower for this division against a Wednesday team, who hasn't kept a clean sheet in the league all year. Blackburn to win.
