A packed Saturday schedule sees teams throughout the country battling for points throughout all of England’s major leagues. Here is this weeks both sides to score betting tip with a potential win of 9/1 with Betfred Goals Galore Bonus.
Goals Galore Tips:
Southampton Vs Aston Villa
The Saints may be languishing at the bottom of the Premier League at the minute but one thing is for certain, Southampton score goals. Nigel Adkins’ side have lost all four of their games since returning to the top flight but have found the back of the net 6 times, only failing to score in their home defeat against Wigan. The ball has also been hitting the back of the net at the other end of the pitch as well, with Southampton shipping a total of 13 so far, including conceding 6 against Arsenal last week which they will be looking to bounce back from.
Much like the Saints, Aston Villa have only failed to score in one of their league fixtures so far. Paul Lambert’s claret and blue boys managed to bag their first win of the season last weekend, putting in an impressive performance to beat in form Swansea 2-0. Villa will be looking to avoid another relegation scare this season and so will see the fixture against the Southampton as a must win so expect Lambert to put out an attacking side. Eleven goals have been scored in the last 3 games between the two sides at St Mary’s.
Wigan Athletic Vs Fulham
Wigan go into the game at the weekend on the back of a hammering at the hands of Manchester United. The Latics lost 4-0 at Old Trafford and will undoubtedly be looking to rediscover the form that saw them pick up 4 points against Southampton and Stoke. Despite not winning a home game yet, Roberto Martinez’s side have been creating plenty of opportunities going forward at the DW Stadium which could prove to be deadly against a rather topsy-turvy Fulham backline.
In contrast to the Latics, Fulham go into the game on a high after a convincing 3-0 win at the Hawthorns. New signing, Dimitar Berbatov appears to have found his scoring boots, grabbing a brace last weekend and the Bulgarian looks likely to start against Wigan. The Cottagers have already found the back of the net 10 times this season and 4 of the last 6 fixtures between the two sides have seen goals from both teams.
Millwall Vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Millwall currently sit in twenty-first position in the Championship having picked up just 6 points from a possible 18 so far this season, but this poor points tally does not reflect their scoring form. The Lions have put the ball in the net in 4 of their 6 league fixtures, including scoring 3 against Boro and 2 against a strong Sheffield Wednesday defense. The problem for Kenny Jackett’s side has been the rate at which they have been conceding goals, with their defence being breached 13 times in the last 6 games.
Promotion chasing Brighton can be found at the other end of the table sitting in third position having won their last 4 matches. Gus Poyet’s side have scored 12 goals throughout the course of their winning streak with Craig Mackail-Smith returning to form with a bang, grabbing 50% of the Gull’s goals this season. Last season saw goals scored at both ends in both fixtures, with the two games ending in draws.
Leeds United Vs Nottingham Forest
After a ferocious win on the first day of the season against Wolves, the outlook for Leeds United has been largely grim. Only one win in the next five matches and a lack of signings in the transfer window has left the Whites sitting in thirteenth position in the Championship, six places off a play-off spot. Despite this poor run of form, Neil Warnock’s side have managed to find the net in all 6 of their league fixtures but have also conceded 11 goals across the same period.
Forest go into the encounter at the weekend on a 6 game unbeaten run, a feet which only Blackburn have managed to replicate this season. Much like Leeds, Sean O’Driscoll’s side have managed to score in all of their league games this season but have only managed to keep one clean sheet across the same period. The encounter between the two sides last season is one that can be described as a true epic, with Forest emerging 7-3 victors at Ellend Road.
