Manchester United get their Champions League campaign underway against Galatasaray on Wednesday looking to get off to a winning start, and hopefully aiding us get some winning football betting tips.

Manchester United couldn't have asked for a nicer, gentler Champions League warm up than the annual visit of masochists, Wigan Athletic. So, to my tips. Three of'em. All relatively small stakes.

Shinji Kagawa has looked like he will be a great addition thus far, but even as a veteran of two Bundesliga titles won in perhaps the closest elite league to ours in terms of pace and physicality, he has already conceded that he will need to work on his body strength to adapt to the PL. Facing a more continental style in this one means that he will probably get the extra yard he currently needs to be really effective. Finally, a longer odds tickle which might be worth a punt. If this does turn into a stroll, Ferguson may very well give new young additions some game time and valuable experience.
