Although the Gunners have certainly begun the 2016/17 campaign in fine form so far this season, very few within the wider English footballing community seem to be singling Arsene Wenger’s men out as clear favourites for the title.
It’s certainly fair to say that Liverpool have stolen much of the initial title hype in the run up to the New Year. Antonio Conte has seemingly helped Chelsea re-establish their usual dominance back among the upper echelons of the English top-flight – and with the wealth of resources constantly on offer at the Etihad these days – you’d have to be a brave man to write off Pep Guardiola’s expensively assembled Manchester City outfit with over half the 2016/17 domestic campaign left to play.
Yet although some Premier League onlookers seemingly aren’t concerned with Arsenal’s undeniably strong form of late…
What a great weekend. Chelsea beat Man City, title rivals Liverpool lost, Arsenal won but who cares they are not our title rivals.

…perhaps Arsene Wenger’s Gunners really are in with a strong shout for the title this season…
Arsenal who are "not title challengers" are in 2nd place ahead of "title challengers" Liverpool and man city.

Not every Arsenal fan out there is feeling overly optimistic of course…
I'm not deluded enough to think Arsenal are favourites for the title. I know our past. Chelsea clear favs.

…but as a certain South American frontman has served to deliver the goods in an Arsenal shirt so far this term…
Please give Alexis Sanchez whatever he desires.Double his salary. He is the heartbeat of the team and brings passion n fire to the team#COYG

…maybe 2016/17 could eventually prove Arsenal’s year…
ARSENAL AND CHELSEA DOG FIGHT FOR THE TITLE. FABREGAS TO SLIP AND SANCHEZ TO RUN ONTO IT ROUND COURTOIS TO WIN THE TITLE.
I FEEL IT.

The Gunners board may have to dig a little deeper to ensure their team’s success throughout the remainder of the season…
Yep. Pogba earns more than Ozil and Alexis combined. Arsenal have no option but to offer both a significant pay rise. #afc

…and there will be more hurdles for Arsenal to overcome as this year's Premier League campaign plays out in timely fashion…
It's gonna be 1 of the hardest title races in years to win, with the form Liverpool and Chelsea are in.A monumental effort from us is needed.

…but as the Gunners surely have to end their ongoing title drought sooner rather than later, the good times could really be waiting just around the corner for Arsene Wenger’s team this season!
