Burnley vs Man City Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

Burnley vs Man City betting tips and Championship predictions for this weekend’s Premier League fixture with the best odds and enhanced odds offers.

This is an excellent chance for Manchester City to move to the top of the table for a couple of hours at least if they can beat this Burnley side. Burnley was ripped apart by West Brom on Monday evening whilst City qualified from the group stages with a 1-1 draw against “A German Team” on Wednesday.

Burnley vs Man City Predictions

Although both teams played midweek they have been given the tough early kick off on Saturday afternoon, this is worse for the travelling side that have to fly back from Germany and then travel to Burnley in just a short couple of days. This could affect their game although these players should be used to it the odds don’t do them any favours. I still believe they have the quality to do it do although they could be pushed, I expect a close gritty game to start so my first Burnley vs Man City prediction is Half time result – draw at 15/8 with Stan James.

Away from home City have been banging in goals in the league scoring on average 2.75 goals in the four away games they have won. Burnley have averaged 2.33 goals per game in their last three home games they have won too. In this game both times should be going for goal so BTTS and over 2.5 goals seems good value at 13/10 with Coral for our second Burnley vs Man City betting tip.

Sterling has been a new player since the new boss came in and this is a team he will enjoy running at and taking players on. He does love to cut inside and get a show away or storming in at the back post trying to get a toe on a crossed ball. He doesn’t do it as often as he would like but his anytime odds may be worth adding to an acca. My third Burnley vs Manchester City prediction is Sterling to score anytime at 21/10 with Coral.

Burnley vs Man City Team News

I think we can expect the usual culprits from Burnley although the gaffer hasn’t come out to speak about Monday’s game properly yet, it’ll be worth watching the press conference to see if he intends to make any changes.

City may have some tired players coming in to this game; I would expect Yaya and Fernando to sit in the middle for this game and no Aguero. He appeared to be limping in the final stages of the Champions League game and we are yet to hear any further comment on this from the club.

Head to Head Stats

Burnley actually managed to get the tree points in the previous game between these sides and the game before that ending in a draw. We will want a repeat of the fixtures before them when Manchester City brushed Burnley away quite a few times in high scoring games.

Burnley vs Man City Betting Odds

If you are one to think that Manchester City might struggle after the quick turnaround from their mid-week game then you can get the home side to win at a big 9/1 with Ladbrokes; this sort of result wouldn’t be a big shock as they need to bounce back from their last game and do have a good home record. The draw is priced up at 5/1 with BetVictor which has featured a couple of times in head to head games between these two.
