Crystal Palace vs West Ham Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

Crystal Palace vs West Ham predictions and betting tips for this Saturday evening fixture including the best odds for each of our tipsters’ selections.

There is a London derby live on BT Sport at the weekend when Crystal Palace face West Ham United at Selhurst Park. Here are some predictions and tips for what promises to be an entertaining game.

BT Sport have been advertising this game since before the dreaded international break and in every ad they have promised goals and I believe this game could be one of the most entertaining games of the weekend. Crystal Palace are unbeaten in five league games and this run stretches from the middle of August and I believe a lot of this is owed to the signing of Christian Benteke. Not only does the big Belgian score goals, he also gives Palace a target for their wide men which they haven’t had in a couple of seasons and I think he is a great signing for the Eagles. He is also in top form at the moment after bagging a hat-trick midweek for Belgium which included the fastest ever World Cup Qualifying goal after only eight seconds and he will be confident going up against a defence who have only kept one clean sheet in the league all season. West Ham will be very disappointed with their season so far and they are currently in the relegation zone with only four points and a lot has been made of their move to the Olympic Stadium. I don’t think they can use that as an excuse and Slaven Bilic will know that his side will have to improve or questions will start being asked about his role as manager. Everyone knows that they have talent going forward with the likes of Payet and Antonio but they need to start being more solid at the back if they are going to climb up the table and with the potential return of left-back Aaron Cresswell on Saturday I think they will do that in the coming weeks.

Crystal Palace vs West Ham Predictions

My first Crystal Palace vs West Ham betting tip is going to be for Christian Benteke to score anytime. I do think that Palace will score and if they do he is most likely going to be the one who puts the ball in the back of the net. He is on top form and I think odds of 7/5 at Betfair are too good to turn down so that’s why Benteke to score anytime is my first football tip.

Benteke to score anytime – 7/5 with Betfair: sign-up get 7/1 Palace win or 10/1 West Ham

My second Crystal Palace vs West Ham prediction is for both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in the game. This has happened the past four times that these sides have met and as I said earlier I think this will be an entertaining game. You can find odds of 21/20 for this to happen at Bet365.

BTTS and Over 2.5 goals – 21/20 with bet365: sign-up get a £200 bonus.

My third and final Premier League prediction for Crystal Palace vs West Ham this weekend is going to be in the corner market. I think profit can be made in this particular market and Crystal Palace do normally have a lot of corners, they had nine corners in their previous game against Everton and average eight a game in their last four league matches. With all this being said I like odds of 11/8 for Crystal Palace to have 7 or more corners and you can find this at William Hill.

Palace to have 7+ corners – 11/8 with William Hill: sign-up get £20 free.

Crystal Palace vs West Ham Team News

Scott Dann is expected to return in the centre of the defence for Alan Pardew’s men on Saturday after recovering from a hamstring injury but Loic Remy and Pape Souare are still on the side-lines for quite a while.  As mentioned earlier, Aaron Cresswell should be fit enough to return to the West Ham squad on Saturday but forwards Andre Ayew, Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho are all around a week away from returning.

Crystal Palace vs West Ham Head to Head Stats

Both teams have scored in the last four meetings between the sides and West Ham have won two of those encounters 3-1. Their most recent meeting back in April finished 2-2 and quite a few people are predicting a score draw here.

Crystal Palace vs West Ham Betting Odds

Crystal Palace are favourites for this game and most bookies are offering 11/10 for the eagles to record a victory. Sky Bet are best priced for the draw with odds of 12/5 and head over to Bet Victor if you fancy the Hammers to win as they are best priced 13/5 for this. West Ham have won 3-1 on their past two visits to Selhurst Park and its 30/1 if you fancy the same outcome here at Bet Victor and this could be worth a little dabble if you are a Hammers fan.
