Both Teams to Score and Win Accumulator Tip for Tonight at 25/1

Football tips for a midweek both teams to score and win accumulator bet and reasons for each of the three selections from the Champions League and English Championship.

This midweek sees the return of the Champions League and a full fixture schedule from the Championship, so with this in mind, we’ve got a score and win treble for your consideration this Tuesday evening. At 25/1 with William Hill, the straight accumulator tip isn’t the biggest by any stretch of the imagination but it does feature a trio of home bankers with strong BTTS statistics. As always, though, anyone after a slightly safer bet can expect a tidy price of 8/1 for the double with the shortest odds in a Trixie.

Both Teams to Score and Win Tips

Manchester City v Borussia Monchengladbach Tip – City to win BTTS

Our first of two selections from the Champions League features Manchester City’s home tie against Borussia Monchengladbach. For those that don’t remember, these sides met in last year’s competition with City victorious on both occasions by scores of 2-1 and 4-2. In addition to this impressive statistic the hosts have also started the current Premier League campaign with four straight BTTS wins and will be buoyed by the fact Sergio Aguero is free from his domestic ban and set to lead the line for Pep Guardiola’s side. Opponents Monchengladbach are only a couple of games into their Bundesliga season but their two results so far have finished with both teams finding the net. The Germans had a poor record on the road last campaign and I would be very surprised if City don’t put at least a couple of goals past them come the end of the night. It might be a short one, but you literally couldn’t hand-pick a better game to get us started.

Barcelona v Celtic Tip – Barcelona to win BTTS

The second choice on our score and win betting tip tonight features favourites Barcelona and their home tie against Celtic. The Catalan side head into their clash against the Scottish champions fresh from an absolute shocker at home to lowly Alaves at the weekend. Despite trading as short as 1/12 with some bookmakers, Luis Enrique’s side – albeit not full-strength from the start – slumped to a 2-1 defeat and looked woefully off the pace for long periods. Although this was only their third league game of the season, Barcelona also conceded a couple of sloppy goals at home to Real Betis on the opening match of the campaign and played out a BTTS win against Celtic in pre-season as well. Brendon Rodger’s men head to the Nou Camp off the back of thrashing Rangers 5-1 in the Old Firm Derby, which like Manchester City above, was their fourth straight win via a BTTS outcome. As much as I’d love to see a British side get one over on the mighty Barca, though, I fear they could be in for a complete pasting. Therefore, back the hosts to win with both teams making it onto the scoresheet.

Norwich v Wigan – Norwich to win BTTS

Our final football betting tip this Tuesday comes from the Championship as Norwich host Wigan at Carrow Road. The Canaries have had a solid start to the season having only lost the once so far away at Birmingham City a couple of weeks ago. They do remain unbeaten at home, though, after taking seven points from a possible nine and also played out a particularly entertaining 3-2 victory against Cardiff over the weekend. Visitors Wigan have had a tough start to life in the second tier and currently sit fourth bottom after taking four points from their first six games. The Latics’ only win of the season to date has been against the bottom side Blackburn and Gary Caldwell’s men have also lost their last three games on the bounce as well. Nevertheless, four of these six matches have seen a BTTS outcome and I wouldn’t be too surprised if we see that again this time around. It’s certainly the toughest of the three on paper, but back Alex Neil’s team to win with both sides scoring.
