Euro 2016 Group C Preview and Predictions for Ukraine

As the traditional sense of hype and sensation begins to build for Euro 2016 this coming summer, it’s about time we took a closer look at those determined group of players that make up the Ukrainian national squad, and everything Mykhaylo Fomenko’s ambitious side can expect to achieve at the highly anticipated post-season tournament…

Chances of success:

With Joachim Low’s formidable German outfit obviously looking to claim top spot among the relevant Group C proceedings at Euro 2016, it remains somewhat difficult to imagine Ukraine successfully achieving safe passage to the knock-out stages without putting up a real fight to say the very least.

This squad is nonetheless capable of striving past Poland when all is said and done in Group C, for although Robert Lewandowski should clearly offer the Polish a solid route of attack at any given opportunity, Ukraine can arguably count upon their superior defensive qualities if the Euro 2016 qualifying stages are to prove anything to go by for Fomenko’s proud team.

Ones to watch:

Whilst very few Ukrainian players have seemingly ventured out into the English top-flight across the Premier League era, Mykhaylo Fomenko certainly has a decent range of talent to call upon at Euro 2016 with all things fairly taken into account.

They may admittedly fail to resemble the most established bunch of professionals looking to stake their claim in France this summer, but with both Yevhen Konoplyanka and Andriy Yarmolenko solidly included among the action, Ukraine at least play host to a handful of credible names worthy of making things happen at Euro 2016.

From the dug-out:

Euro 2016 Group C Preview and Predictions for Ukraine

Although Ukraine just about missed out on an illustrious spot among the 2014 World Cup under their current boss, Mykhaylo Fomenko – the former Dinamo Kyiv favourite nonetheless has a wealth of managerial experience under his belt that began all the way back in the late 1970’s.

The upcoming task on Fomenko’s hands at Euro 2016 should prove a tough one however, for even if Ukraine eventually manage to excel beyond initial expectations this summer, their overall chances of making it to the latter stages of the entire competition ultimately remain slim at best.

Ukraine’s Euro 2016 Predictions:

So then, as this is the first time Ukraine have successfully qualified for the international European clash through the traditional system alone, Ukrainian football fans certainly have good reason to hopefully expect some new and exciting signs from their nation at this summer’s highly anticipated competition.

As the relevant betting tips simply don’t envisage all that much success for Ukraine at the coming tournament however, even the most optimistic of punters would seemingly have to think twice before pushing the boat out on Fomenko’s determined outfit this summer…
