Both Teams to Score Tips Tonight
Heracles Almelo v Feyenoord
Our first leg is the earliest starter and comes to us from the Dutch Eredivisie as Heracles host Feyenoord at 6:45pm. Almelo have had a solid season this time out and currently occupy one of the Europa League places awarded at the end of the campaign. Although their BTTS ratio over the course of the year stands at a fairly unremarkable 48%, their record has certainly improved over the last third of the season with four of their last five matches in a row seeing BTTS, as well as six of their last eight at home. Opponents Feyenoord are a funny old bunch, and if you were to look at their form over the last half of the season it really would appear as if they were playing with no goalie for the two months after Christmas. The 14 times champions were well placed to be one of the title contenders after an excellent start, but then managed to lose seven matches in a row to all manner of teams between December and February. Needless to say, any hopes of winning the league have evaporated but they do still remain an excellent contender for a BTTS result. Feyenoord have scored in their last nine straight away games and also have a 73% strike rate for BTTS on their travels as well. This one looks a safe pair of hands to get us started.

Roma v Torino
The second selection this Wednesday takes us to Serie A as in-form Roma host Torino at 7:45pm. Although the hosts have drawn three of their last four matches, their unbeaten league run now stands at a highly impressive twelve games and the Giallorossi are now on the cusp of Champions League football next season. The only thing more impressive than this fine spell of results, though, has been Roma’s outstanding BTTS record over the course of the campaign. Totti and co currently have the highest ratio in the league for both teams finding the net at a whopping 73%, with their last seven matches in a row also finishing via that outcome as well. Opponents Torino don’t quite live up to those statistics, but should be able to do their part as well. The visitors are a solid mid-table side, capable of scoring plenty of goals on their day. From our bet’s perspective, though, five of their last six have been BTTS clashes, as well as the corresponding fixture with Roma finishing 1-1 earlier in the year. This looks an absolute snip at 10/11.
Liverpool v Everton
We’re heading to the Premier League for our third choice on the both teams to score tip and the Merseyside Derby between Liverpool and Everton at 8:00pm. The Reds are playing their best football of the season at present and could realistically finish as high as 5th in the league, whilst also lifting the Europa League trophy as well. Jurgen Klopp’s team have been plundering the goals of late and have now scored twenty times in their last eight league games, and also put five past a superb Borussia Dortmund side over the course of two matches in Europe. In addition to this, Liverpool’s last five matches in a row have also finished with both teams scoring, as well as their fixture against Wednesday’s opponents back in October. Everton make the short trip up the road in a precarious situation, with manager Roberto Martinez facing a pivotal week in his tenure as The Toffees boss. The Spaniard’s popularity appears to be hanging by the thinnest of threads at the moment and he faces the unenviable decision of trying to prioritise between a Derby and an FA Cup semi-final at the weekend. From a BTTS perspective, though, these matches rarely disappoint goals wise and I expect us to see both teams finding the net on this one.

Real Madrid v Villarreal
We’re rounding things off in La Liga this Wednesday and a tasty looking clash between Real Madrid and Villarreal at 9:00pm. Barcelona’s capitulation of the last few games has completely set the cat amongst the pigeons in Spain, and now only one point separates the Catalan giants and the two Madrid clubs in La Liga. Real are starting to find their feet under Zinedine Zidane and have now won their last seven matches in a row in the league, scoring a ridiculous 27 goals in the process. From a BTTS point of view, though, Real have been churning out the BTTS results over the last half of the season, with five of their last seven matches finishing via that result. Their opponents come in the form of Villarreal, and their excellent defensive record over the last six months has been beginning to unravel over the last half a dozen games. The visitors have now seen BTTS results in five of those six matches and need to pick up the pace again if they are to hold onto the fourth and final Champions League position. Although Villarreal may look to park the bus, Real have scored 17 goals in the first fifteen minutes of games this year and another one on Wednesday should open this game up nicely.
