Their away form is not the best, they have had two victories in the last five with the most recent away result a 2-0 loss to Bournemouth and then playing a 1-1 draw at home to relegation battling Sunderland.

 

Stoke will be able to pull five points clear of Southampton if they are victorious and would make a top half finish very realistic. They had three good wins on the bounce in all competitions before a solid 1-1 away to the revitalised Chelsea. Mark Hughes will be confident going into this home fixture especially with the last few weeks behind them. Stokes home record only contains one loss in the last five and the last two games producing two wins. Shaqiri is back among the goals and assists which will boost his fellow team mates.

 

Stoke’s home record is a lot better than Southampton’s away going into this game and head to head Stoke City have won the last two, surely their confidence will be high going into this game. Shane Long is the only striker scoring for the Saints recently and still they aren’t often. Arnautovic and Shaqiri have been involved in quite a few goals recently and I’m sure one of them will be able to bag at least one here to take the points.
