Even without the injured Charlie Austin and potentially Shane Long, the Saints have Pelle and enough quality in midfield to win. Southampton have started conceding goals again and Sunderland to tend to score away from home when they lose. Up until their 1-0 loss at West Ham last weekend, both teams had scored in Sunderland’s previous six away matches and it is a miracle they didn’t score against West Ham given the chances they had, my second Southampton v Sunderland prediction is for both teams to score, I’m expecting goals at either end in this one for my weekend football tips.
