Leicester City are favourites to win the Premier League title after their 3-1 win at Manchester City, but what are the biggest bets placed on Leicester to win the league?
There have been a few well documented bets at odds of 5000/1 for Leicester City to win the Premier League title at the start of the season, but since then there have been some other big punts, still at odds that means life changing sums of money if Leicester can lift the title in May.
Leicester started the season as 5000/1 rank outsiders to win the Premier League but are now into 7/4 favourites with online bookmakers Betfair, the best odds available are 9/4 at Betfred.
Biggest Bets on Leicester to win the Premier League
One Leicester City punter had a £5 each-way bet on them to win the league at 5000/1 just to annoy his Nottm Forest supporting friend. The same punter has already netted a £5000 win thanks to Leicester being top of the Premier League at Christmas.
A second punter has also revealed himself on Twitter after having a £5 bet on Leicester to win the Premier League at odds of 5000/1 – he was on holiday and had ‘had a few drinks’ the day Ranieri was appointed and placed the bet on a whim. He has declined a £3,2000 cashout offer.

Probably the best of the fairytail stories is a female punter who has had two bets on Leicester after deciding to “Resort to betting instead of the lottery”. Her two bets were a £20 free bet from Sky Bet on Leicster to finish in the top 6 of the Premier League at 22/1 – that £440 win is surely already in the bank, and secondly a £7 punt on Leicester to win the Premier League title at 5000/1. She’s in line to win £35,007!

Since the start of the season we have seen some other big bets on Leicester to win the league including a £75 bet at 1500/1 to win £140,775 and a couple of £10 bets on the massive 5000/1 odds.
William Hill were also reporting a £10 each-way bet on Leicester to win the league that is worth £66,666.76 if they are the Champions.
