Arsenal are absolutely flying at the moment, and following their fantastic 2-0 win against Bayern Munich in midweek, are likely to be heading into their clash against Everton with sky-high confidence. The Gunners are in fantastic form in the Premier League at present, having won five of their last six matches. The only defeat during this period came away to Chelsea in a match they were certainly unfortunate to lose.
 

Arsene Wenger's men have been particularly prolific in front of goal during this purple patch, and have now scored 11 goals in their last three matches. There's no surprise that the return to form of Alexis Sanchez has played a huge part in this up-turn in form. The Chilean has now scored ten goals in his last seven matches for club and country, with his superb double against Manchester United a fortnight ago particularly impressive.

Everton make their way to the capital off the back of a comprehensive 3-0 defeat at home against Manchester United. The result was certainly Roberto Martinez's most disappointing this season, but certainly highlights the inconsistent nature of his side. At times, The Toffees have been breath-taking this campaign, with superb victories at home to Chelsea and away at Southampton of particular note.

 

However, Everton have yet to string two wins together so far this season and have only managed to win once at Goodison Park in five attempts. Nevertheless, they have had an unenviable opening run of fixtures with ties against all of last season's top seven within their first ten matches. Following their clash with The Gunners, they enter a favourable run of games and could definitely make some in-roads on the European places.

 

Heading into the match and Arsenal are clear favourites at a best price of 9/20 in the Arsenal v Everton odds. Everton can be backed at a surprisingly long 7/1, with the draw on offer at 4/1.

 

Based on their current form I can't really see Arsenal slipping up this weekend against Everton.
