Lyon v Bastia – Lyon to win
First up, we head to Ligue 1 for Lyon's home clash against struggling Bastia. Although the hosts aren't in the finest form at present, they were runners-up in the French top flight last season and also began that campaign in shaky fashion before finding their feet in October. Their opponents Bastia started the season reasonably, but have gone on to lose their last three matches in a row at an aggregate of 9-3. Their last match on the road saw them thumped at Marseille, a place where Lyon recently picked up a draw. Furthermore, Lyon also won the corresponding fixture last season 2-0, and with the likes for Alexandre Lacazette and Nabil Fekir in their ranks, should win this one comfortably as well.
Hoffenheim v Borussia Dortmund – Dortmund to win
For our second addition to the accumulator coupon we head across to the German Bundesliga as Hoffenheim welcome the free-scoring Borussia Dortmund to town. The Nerazzurri have had a superb start to the season having won all of their league matches so far. Although, Roberto Mancini's men are not blowing teams away, they are not conceding either and have only leaked the one goal so far this campaign. Their opposition comes in the form of Hellas Verona who gave yet to pick up a win so far this term and currently find themselves in the bottom three already. If I'm perfectly honest, this is the match I have the most reservations around for my football betting tips. However, if the clash goes to form, it should be another three points for Inter.
Crystal Palace v Charlton – Palace to win
Finally, Crystal Palace's League Cup tie with Charlton will be our final selection on the accumulator this Wednesday. It seems Palace are no longer a team that battles relegation and it appears Alan Pardew wants to have a real go at bringing a cup to Selhurst Park this season. The Eagles named a strong side in their 4-1 win over Shrewsbury in the last round and are also playing some terrific football of late. Although they have lost their last two matches in the Premier League, both could be considered unfortunate. They come up against a Charlton side that started the campaign brightly, but have faded in recent weeks. The Addicks have only picked up one point in their last four league games and haven't won an away game since beating Blackpool in March last season. Back the Premier League side to come out on top in this one.
