Both teams to score betting tips for this weekend’s football on Saturday afternoon from our football tipster.
This weekend’s BTTS betting tip comes from Saturday’s football and starts with the early kick-off. The bet comes in at 9/1 with Betfred.
Both Teams to Score Betting Tips
Our first BTTS pick for Saturday’s matches brings us to Goodison Park and the clash between Everton and Chelsea. Jose Mourinho will almost certainly be tearing his hair out about his team’s transformation from last season’s title winners into candidates for relegation on current form. It’s fair to say that the Stamford Bridge club are in crisis given a poultry return of just 4 points from 4 games, with a staggering total of 9 goals conceded already. Last season Chelsea went into November having conceded 9 goals as they stole a march towards their inevitable title win. This season, however, they look a completely different, defensively vulnerable, outfit.
Everton haven’t had the best of starts to their season, but they’re still doing better than Chelsea. They sit in 9th position with one win, two draws and a single defeat from their opening 4 matches of the Premier League season. They may have only bagged 5 so far, but expect this to change when Chelsea come to town on Saturday. Roberto Martinez’s side usually turn on the style when the big boys travel to Goodison, and with the crowd sensing vulnerability and a lack of confidence in Chelsea’s defence, I would be hugely surprised if The Toffees don’t add to Mourinho’s misery by notching at least one. However, Chelsea are always a threat going forward and I expect this game to finish as a highly entertaining score draw.
Crystal Palace v Man City
League leaders Man City travel to London for a clash with second placed Crystal Palace. City have yet to concede a goal in their opening 4 matches, but given the style and swagger that Palace’s players are playing with under Alan Pardew, I expect City to lose their defensive record at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
All 4 of Palace’s games this season have finished with both teams scoring and attack is always the way for The Eagles on home soil. They won’t be overawed by City’s wealth of attacking talent and given that they are currently performing way above expectations, there will be no pressure on them if they fail to grab a win on Saturday. The fans will be expecting another display of character along with fast flowing attacking football and I expect both teams to score in another highly entertaining clash.
Norwich v Bournemouth
Two of last season’s promoted teams go head to head on Saturday. Bournemouth travel to East Anglia looking to build on their last two much improved performances against West Ham and Leicester. Eddie Howe’s side emphatically found their scoring touch against Slaven Bilic’s West Ham side, eventually running out 4-3 winners, and against an over performing Leicester side they grabbed a highly creditable 1-1 draw.
Alex Neil will be looking for an improved performance from Norwich’s lacklustre 3-0 defeat to Southampton last time out, and given that both teams have scored in 3 out of The Canaries’ 4 Premier League games, both teams look odds on to notch in this intriguing encounter between two of the Premiership’s hotly tipped relegation candidates.
Southend v Shrewsbury
Our last clash for Saturday’s BTTS Accumulator coupon comes from League 2 and the meeting between Southend and Shrewsbury. Both teams are lagging behind in 16th and 18nd respectively, and each have pretty shoddy defensive records. However, both teams managed wins in midweek, each games containing goals for either side, and I expect that when the teams meet on Saturday, it is inevitable that both will find the net. 5 out of 6 of Shrewsbury’s League games have finished with both teams scoring, and Southend’s last two have gone the same way. This is a nailed on BTTS.
