Celtic face a quick turnaround following their Champions League qualifying first leg win in midweek, but are still short in the betting odds for Saturday’s match against Ross County.

The Champions League qualification is by no means secured and that could well play on the mind of Celtic manager Ronny Deila ahead of Saturday’s match, a narrow 1-0 victory at Parkhead against Qarabag means they still have work to do in Wednesday’s return leg in Kazakhstan.

 

With this in mind I certainly will not be recommending having a huge bet on Celtic to beat Ross County at the odds of 1/5, however there is an angle for betting on a Celtic win. One option would be to bet on Celtic to win by a single goal but instead have a bet on Celtic to win and both teams to score.

 

My first football prediction for Celtic v Ross County this weekend is for Celtic to win and both teams to score, the best odds are 5/2 at 888Sport, note it is as short as 17/10 with other bookies.

 

Ross County had a tremendous end to last season, winning 10 of their last 14 matches so they will be no pushovers against Celtic this weekend.

 

Given that I am expecting a tough time for Celtic in this weekend’s opening SPL match, have a bet on the match to be a draw at half-time for my next football tip. The best odds are 2/1 at William Hill.

 

Brian Graham is a new signing for Ross County this season and the striker could announce himself to the County fans in some style with a goal at Parkhead. The odds are generous enough to bet on him to score anytime, but if you’re feeling brave, have a few quid on him scoring first at 16/1 (Bet365)>
