Whichever way you look at it, this season has been a huge disappointment for Hull City. After spending heavily in the summer, few will have predicted Steve Bruce's men to have struggled so much over the course of the campaign, particularly in front of goal. Had Arsene Wenger's men not had such a poor start to the season – winning only two of their first eight Premier League games – Arsenal could have been right in the mix for the league title.

As it is, the North London side currently find themselves in a three way battle to secure a top three finish and spare themselves the inconvenience of having to qualify for the Champions League. Considering The Gunners have a game in hand over their rivals and some favourable fixtures along the way, second place should definitely be obtainable.

Had this match been a couple of weeks ago I would have bet my coat, hat and shoes on an away win. Before their two victories, Hull had only managed four goals in six matches and looked to be huge relegation candidates. However, those six points have really set the cat amongst the pigeons, making Monday's encounter a tough one to predict.

What's swaying me towards an Arsenal win, though, is the fact The Gunners have a fantastic record against Hull; Arsenal have won eight and drawn one of the last nine.
