Norwich v Ipswich Betting Tips and Predictions

Weekend football betting tips for Norwich v Ipswich in the Championship on Sunday with expert free football tips and predictions.

It’s the East Anglian derby on Sunday and what a match it should be! Norwich have been transformed under Alex Neil. He has ‘blown them away’, that was the word from the Canaries camp this week and this statement holds water as the performances have reflected. Under previous regimes, heads may have dropped when they found themselves 1-0 down at half time to a very competent Blackburn side, but they produced a wonderful comeback and took 3 points eastwards.

There’s no doubt that they still have a squad that would be largely capable of playing at a higher level and the arrival of Graham Dorrans has bolstered the midfield considerably.

Ipswich on the other hand have been going through a shakier patch, but they bounced back with a 4-2 win against Birmingham in midweek. They looked swift when moving forward and it was the perfect response to a disappointing defeat just 3 days before. I still believe they are a limited side, but they are very functional and have one of the best managers in the division in Mick McCarthy and should at least make the play offs at the end of the season.

There’s plenty at stake, as just a single point separates the sides and it should be an interesting battle throughout the 90 minutes.

I can’t ignore the recent form of the home side for my football betting tips this weekend however and I think Norwich will have too much for Ipswich and the men in yellow and green will have the bragging rights and overtake their near neighbours in the process. They seems to have forgotten how to lose under Alex Neil and should manage to dig out 3 points here.

Bet on Norwich to win at odds of 10/11 with William Hill.

Ipswich looked terrific in the final third in midweek and Freddie Sears added plenty of energy to the forward line. They certainly seem to be able to score and it was surprising they didn’t find the net against Reading, although the Berkshire club have a funny knack of keeping the top sides off the score-sheet. Norwich still concede goals, but less frequently than they did pre-festive season and it should be an end to end game. I predict that both sides will find a way of scoring in this fixture.

For our next Norwich v Ipswich prediction we are betting on both teams to score at 3/4 with Ladbrokes.

Lewis Grabban seems to have been given a new lease of life following the management change. It is clear that the former Bournemouth man is a player who thrives on confidence and belief in his ability and his barren spell coincided with him being dropped as previous manager Neil Adams chopped and changed his side. There was even rumours that man who sports a wispy beard wanted to return to the South Coast, but Norwich fans will be glad to see him continuing to wear their colours.

He is sharp, has got on the score-sheet of late and is back to his early season form. He has 4 goals in his last 4 games, including 2 in their away victory against Watford. I think he could find the net in the 90 minutes against Ipswich.

Bet on Lewis Grabban to score anytime at 9/5 with Betfair for our final betting tip this weekend.
