Football Accumulator Tips

Bristol City to beat Telford – 1/5

This weekend sees the return of the FA Cup, as the second round takes place, with the remaining sides just one win away from a potential glamour tie against Premiership opposition. As it stands, Bristol City are the highest placed side in the competition, with the current League One leaders enjoying a terrific campaign thus far, and Sunday gives them a great chance of making it into the hat for round three as they host conference side AFC Telford. Struggling at the foot of the division, Telford needed a reply to overcome Conference South side Basingstoke in the previous round, and face a huge uphill task if they are to make it any further. With Telford managing just three league victories, alongside 15 defeats so far this season, it’s hard to see anything other than a comfortable victory for the home side, and despite the short price; Bristol City are the selection to overcome a side who sit 71 league places below them.

Valencia to beat Granada – 11/10

Valencia’s fine start to the season has stuttered as of late, and without a win in their last three, they will be keen to get back on track as they travel to Granada. La Liga’s fifth placed-side, were moments away from earning a point against Barcelona last weekend, but for a late winner from Sergio Busquets, however the performance will certainly have left them feeling positive about their chances of securing a European spot. Just two points off fourth place, and with seven wins from 13 league games, they will be confident of picking up three points against a Granada side seemingly battling it out to avoid relegation. The home side have managed just two victories in 13 La Liga fixtures, and find themselves just a point above the relegation zone, without a win in nine; a run stretching back to September. Goals have also been hard to come by for Granada, who with just seven, are the lowest scorers in league, having only managed two at home in six games, which came back in August. Fresh off the back of a 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Sevilla last weekend, it may be another difficult weekend for Granada, with Valencia the selection to take the three points.

Napoli to beat Empoli – 1/3

Napoli can prove to be a frustrating side to back in Serie A, but sitting third in the table, they will hopefully prove too strong for Empoli this weekend. With Juventus and Roma seemingly in a two-horse race for the title, the home side will be focusing on maintaining third spot, and the last Champions League place, and will be keen to get back to winning ways after two successive draws. Their opponents Empoli find themselves in mid table, however have only managed three wins in 13 games this campaign, and just one on their travels. With a number of talented individuals, particularly in attacking areas, Napoli are expected to come through this one with the three points, and extend their unbeaten run to 11 games.

Eintracht Frankfurt to beat Werder Bremen – Evs

A run of four straight defeats in the Bundesliga piled the pressure on Frankfurt just a few weeks ago, however two excellent performances against Champions League contenders Borussia Moenchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund has put them only two points off the European positions, ahead of this weekend’s home clash against Werder Bremen. Confidence should be high in the Frankfurt camp after their two recent notable scalps, and they will be hoping to make it three wins on the bounce against a side who have struggled on their travels this season. With just one win in seven on the road, Bremen find themselves just a point above the relegation places, however will have been boosted by a 4-0 success over Paderborn last weekend. In what could ultimately prove a close encounter; if Frankfurt can replicate their recent form, they should prove too strong for Bremen, and therefore are the selection to make it three wins on the spin.

Marseille to beat Metz – 4/9

The last selection for Sunday’s accumulator comes from France, where league leaders Marseille will look to sustain their position at the top with a win over Metz. Marseille have won all but one of their eight home games this season, scoring 18 goals in the process, and will be confident of making it eight from nine against a Metz side with the worst away record in Ligue 1. Four straight defeats on the road, with just one victory and one goal in eight away fixtures, make it hard to see Metz leaving the Stade Veledrome anything other than empty handed, with Marseille fancied to grab a the three points.
