Leicester can win the Premier League title on Sunday and Ladbrokes have confirmed that there are still 24 bets running on Leicester to win the title at 5000/1.
Sitting bottom of the Premier League for much of last season, Leicester City are on the brink of one of the biggest shocks in football history by lifting the Premier League title – and they could do it at the home of the most successful Premier League club in history – Manchester United.
Leicester will win the title with two matches to spare if they beat Man United this weekend and 24 Ladbrokes punters will be collecting a winning bet at odds of 5000/1.
Ladbrokes have confirmed that there were a total of 47 bets on Leicester to win the Premier League title at the start of the season but only 24 bets are still live as the other 23 players have already cashed out and secured their profit.
The smallest bet was a 10p stake set to win £500 and Ladbrokes have called it “surely the best use of 10p ever”. There have also been a number of £10 bets that are set to win £50,000.
“It's rare to see a 5,000/1 shot and even rarer to see one even have a slim chance of winning. This is unprecedented and there are no comparisons whatsoever.
“We salute the fans who backed their side to land the biggest upset in history at the start of the season.”
We have been in touch with Ladbrokes’ Alex Donohue on Twitter who has told us that the biggest bet still alive is £20 to win at 5000/1 and the biggest cashout value so far is £72,000.

There looks certain to be 47 happy Ladbrokes customers come the end of this season, but spare a thought for this punter who placed a 50p bet on Leicester to win the Premier League at the start of the season only to cashout after the first fixture of the season – for 45p. A 5p loss. Had they kept their 50p bet they’d be set to win £2,500 in the coming weeks.
Who will win the Premier League next season? Place your bets with Ladbrokes and you could be cashing out for £72,000!
